Location and Surroundings
Maşukiye is a village of streams and forest at the foot of Kartepe mountain. Its stream-side trout restaurants and waterfalls are the main sights. In winter the mountain road leads up to the Kartepe ski centre, and Sapanca Lake lies on the plain. The area can be reached from the Istanbul or Sakarya direction by the TEM (E-80) motorway or the D-100 road.
