About Melekona House Maşukiye
Melekona House began welcoming guests in June 2023. It stands on Aslanağzı Street in Maşukiye, on a 4,000 square metre plot. Natural materials such as timber and stone dominate the buildings, giving the place the warmth of a bungalow while comfort is kept at hotel level. The space and greenery between the units help the setting stay quiet.
Accommodation Units
The headline option is Melekona Premium, which takes a maximum of two guests and is clearly planned with couples in mind. The units come with a private heated pool, a private outdoor jacuzzi and a fireplace. In the colder months guests can sit by the fire in the winter garden, and when the weather allows, use the jacuzzi in the open air.
Viewing Terrace and Restaurant
What sets Melekona House apart from many bungalow properties in the area is that it has its own restaurant and a viewing terrace looking over the village. Food and drinks are served in the modern-styled restaurant, with tables facing the view. There is therefore no need to leave the property to eat, although the trout restaurants by the village stream are a good excuse for a short outing.
Location and Getting There
Maşukiye is a forest-ringed village at the foot of Kartepe mountain, known for its waterfalls. The Kartepe ski centre is further up the mountain road and Sapanca Lake lies on the plain. Visitors from the Istanbul and Sakarya directions use the TEM (E-80) motorway or the D-100 road. In short, this is a place for couples who want a pool and jacuzzi to themselves and dinner on the same premises. Having opened recently, its buildings and fittings are up to date. It is worth asking the property about unit types and current facilities before booking.
