The village's stream-side trout restaurants and its waterfalls are usually the first stop for anyone staying in Maşukiye. The mountain road leads up to the Kartepe ski centre, and outside the snow season the forest tracks around it are used for walking and cycling. The shore of Sapanca Lake makes an easy day out. Travellers from Istanbul or Sakarya reach the area on the TEM (E-80) motorway or the D-100 road.
